Why do you enjoy coming to SFM?
It’s the first gym that most people introduce themselves. Honestly, it’s the first gym most people don’t avoid me. It’s refreshing. A real sense of family.

How long have you been at SFM?
I’m new here! I’ve been a member for about four months now.

Why is fitness a priority to you?
There is nothing better than seeing all the ways you can move in a world that focuses on all the ways you can’t. Independence requires fitness for me! Also, I am a middle-aged person and self preservation is a must! I find that it is hard to find models and examples of physical health and exercise for people with my specific disabilities. We are working together to go what’s right for me at SFM!

Favorite workout?
My favorite lift is the deadlift or bench press! I really love body weight exercises like pull ups and ring rows. I am better at them now then when I was on my feet! My favorite workouts include cardio or AMRAPs. It’s challenging mentally and physically because you have to figure out how to pace yourself, but I enjoy the challenge!

What is something many people don’t know about you?
I am a public speaker! I also enjoy spending time snuggled up in bed!
